Final Portfolio

I made my cover colorful to draw in a younger crowd. Inside I kept it professional and sophisticated. This program did not take as long to figure out like the others. InDesign would be useful for putting future digital portfolios together.

lyrics collage

For my lyrics collage I chose the song Bad Intentions. The heart and infinity sign   are there to symbolize an endless love. The grandfather clock represents time passing. The evil eye at the bottom is for the negative energy (the bad intentions). I used the plane in literal terms for the lyrics. I kept everything pretty transparent to keep the focus mainly on the background, which is a picture I took last night.

For my custom graphic I took a picture of the sky and made a custom made stamp and changed the color to pink. I thought it was cool that I was able to take a scenic picture and make it almost look like wallpaper. The tree reminded me of a family tree, I used the evil eye because it is something my grandma always wore.

magazine cover!

For my magazine cover I extracted a picture of my best friend kendall and I and attempted to layer it. It ended up being a hard picture to extract but I took the time and tried my best. I really liked the way the the blue popped against the pink.

babe took me to the beach

I had a little too much fun with this assignment. I decided to put myself next to Mario Lopez at a beach in Greece. This was my first experience with photoshop so I was extremely shaky but I enjoyed it.

This was one of the hardest assignments I have ever done. I wanted it to look like a little logo. I could see this being useful for a creative resume. It took me almost an hour just to make the square alone but I am happy with how my logo came out.

This project actually looked a lot better before I saved it to the web. My hair was more filled in and my skin color was different. I attempted to give the contour effect to my face by using shadows where the sun would hit. This is a trick that is usually done with makeup.

Smokey's Hottie Girl Sister

I decided to  take a different approach for this assignment. I made smokey into a girl by giving her a lovely flower hat, eye lashes and a womanly outfit.

My logo is for vodka that would be shaped like a woman's body. It would have added electro lights to reduce dehydration and hangovers. It would also be extremely low in calories and sugar. I put the bottle as part of the logo so it would be something people could automatically recognise in liquor stores.

I chose to do lips because I love makeup. I used the names of different makeup bands to form the shape and show the texture.

- I like the starbucks logo because I think it is extremely unique to their company. Each part of the logo could be separated and still recognized, which in my opinion makes it a successful logo.

The MTV logo is successful because it incorporates the name of the company without just writing it out. It is simple and grabs your attention.

 I like the Lacoste label because it is easily recognized because it is on all of their products.

 I think this is an unsuccessful logo. I have never seen the one to the right but it only reminds me that pepsi/ soda is bad for me when that would be something negative to associate with their product.

I don't like this logo at all. It is extremely similar to many other famous logos such as Facebook. The normal google logo is so recognizable they should stick to the same font, or else it becomes confusing.

1. nutrilove- (dieting system)- a cartoon broccoli with a measuring tape?

2. slim buzz- extremely low calorie vodka - a bottle of vodka in a bikini

3. the smart buzz- a light up bracelet that lights up when your BAC gets too high


4. a nail polish you dip your whole hand in and it only sticks to your nails

About me

      My name is Lindsey Fields, I am a Junior at the University of Tampa. I am originally from New York, I came here to escape the cold! My goal is to become a more creative person and I expect to become more familiar with digital arts from this class. Other than being a student I am an intern at the Leukemia Lymphoma Society.
